Does Wells Fargo accept US citizens abroad?

Bank headquartered in United States. Website: https://www.wellsfargo.com

Restricted Checking and savings accounts official

Wells Fargo requires a physical US address to open an account online. At a branch, it asks for separate proof of your physical US address and doesn't accept a PO Box or private mailbox as a residential address. A US citizen abroad without a US address therefore can't open one. The same FAQ includes a closing process for customers outside the US, but no page we found says whether existing accounts can be kept long-term with a foreign address.
